Multifunctional building

Taking the effects of climate change into account, a building structure was designed for a sustainable structural design. The design was defined with not only these sustainability issues in mind, but also the structural strength and stability of the building. An emphasis was placed on both the architectural- and structural design of the building.

The requirements of the building specified the need for an elevation of 5 metres above ground of the complete building. Moreover, the requirements specified that the building had to be suited for a multifunctional use; hotel, office and event space. For the latter function rooms were needed that were at least 12 x 12 metres.
